A FEW WORDS ABOUT HI-DEF

Change is a constant. We will always as a people seek to improve our way of life. Technology is no different. Visual
media will continue to become more enhanced, bolder, brighter and better. This new technology will always arrive
with a price tag and you will see it reflected in the cost of services for end users. This is a natural law of business.

The capture of video is now entering into the realm of Hi-Def. A year from now it will enter the realm of Higher-Def,
then Super Hi-Def, then Super Duper Hi-Def. All of this "noise" is an attempt by man to duplicate the miracle of the
human eye. I wish them all good luck. Even if you possess the latest and greatest technology, ironically, poor
videotaping habits never change. For example, poor shot composition, lack of a tripod or lack of a quality tripod, the
same angle or the same boring footage over and over. Funny, as my years and experience add up, I still forget
sometimes to take the lens cap off before I shoot. Some things never change.

So you found a videographer who has super duper Hi-Def cameras. Great! How do they shoot? Garbage in
garbage out. I'm not suggesting you seek out videographers who use horse and buggy formats. I am
recommending you seek out quality, creative, professional videographers. You will be much happier with the
finished project.

I can grill for you a hamburger and a steak. If I can't barbeque and I turn both into a charred, unrecognizable piece
of carbon, which one is better? Who cares? Purchasing a better format does not make you a better videographer.
Being a better videographer makes any format, delicious!
